Fido System Lists iPhone at $3500, No MMS iPhone Plan

Customers looking to purchase an iPhone from Fido this morning will experience more pricing issues.

Yesterday we announced that somehow Rogers has unfairly discounted the upgrade cost for Rogers Wireless customers compared to Fido customers. This morning we see more issues with the price of the new device.

The Fido system is listing the new iPhone 3G S at $3500. Customers are unable to complete their purchase of the device and retail stores are taking information down manually and will call customers back to pick up their receipt. Thankfully you can still leave with an iPhone.

Another issue is the absence of an iPhone value pack which includes MMS. Rogers has announced the upgrade from the $15 value pack to a $20 value pack which includes MMS. This plan is not on Fido's system and retail staff is unaware if it ever will be. If you are a Fido customer be very careful sending MMS as it might cost you heavily.

i am porting my number to rogers because the staff at fido are cluesless and seemly unwilling to care about 12 years of locality. so I can get a phone for $299 32GB and break my 2 year remaining contract if i switch to rogers.. but if i want to stay they offer me nothing but $100 dollars towards $800 iphone LOONIES!
