CNN Compares the iPhone 6 Camera to One of Its Broadcast Cameras [Video]

Posted November 24, 2014 at 11:37pm by iClarified
CNN has posted a video comparing the camera of the iPhone 6 to one of its broadcast cameras.

Of course, the test is unfair and unrealistic; however, the video does have some tips on shooting better quality video. The professional camera in use appears to be a Sony HDVS camera.

Take a look below...

LG g3 camera is better than geyphones but no one brags about it. Even Francem knows that.

Either you missed the results of other phones winning against the G3 on camera tests or you're just excusing for it.

This article is ridiculous because it's only in LOW LIGHT and no-one would try to question the ability of a huge broadcast-camera sensor's low light capability. Absolutely stupid comparison to make with an iPhone! It's also ridiculous to still be quoting pixel density in the way he does, which even camera manufacturers killed off years ago as a concept. Higher pixel count DOES NOT mean better pictures. In normal conditions, the iPhone 6 is incredible. I work in broadcast TV as well and have just used the iPhone 6 plus to shoot a little video for a wildlife project I'm doing in Malawi. Frankly, it was incredible and I'd be hard pushed to compare some of this footage to a broadcast camera. Remember when you look at this it's all iPhone footage, no tripods (steadycam ability is ridiculous). http://youtu.be/8kHHRVgKU_c

Not to mention how that's the only best thing of Sony portable devices. I find the camcorders perfect from them.

I saw this video a month or so ago. It's not news. And of course no reasonable person would expect to get the quality of broadcast video equipment from the camera in their phone. But the general tips on getting the best results with the camera you always have handy are certainly useful.

It's good but which one is cheaper?

The professional camera goes for 18k - upwards of 120k depending on your needs. I took graphics arts and Video and those were the used prices.
