Layers 1.3 Brings Multiple Canvas Sizes

Gotow.net has announced the immediate availability of Layers 1.3 for the iPhone and iPod Touch! Built on the feedback of hundreds of mobile artists, Layers takes natural media painting to the next level - with layers! Add up to five layers to your drawings and create a masterpiece with ten high-quality brushes.

Version 1.3 brings even more flexibility to Layers, allowing you to choose between multiple canvas sizes when starting a drawing. A 3:2 rectangular canvas is now available in addition to the square canvas! When using the rectangular canvas, the drawing fills the screen completely for an immersive painting experience. The 3:2 canvas is 320 x 480px, similar to Brushes and Colors!, and the square canvas remains larger at 512x512px. Syncing with the Layers Desktop Viewer allows both types of drawings to be exported at much larger sizes.

Layers is the only painting app to export in the PSD file format, allowing you to move your drawings to the desktop with layers intact. Version 1.3 improves the performance of Photoshop export and fixes an important bug that caused the drawing canvas to become white if the iPhone ran out of memory while the brush palette or color picker were open.
