My DJ 2.0 and My DJ Free Released

Independent web developer, iPhone app developer, and entrepreneur Scott Bedwell has announce the release of My DJ 2.0 as a free update to all current My DJ owners, and a free version of the app called My DJ Free, both for iPhone and iPod touch.

My DJ offers a new way of listening to music by playing random parts of the user's songs rather than playing whole songs at once. Users can specify how long of each song to play in the settings of their device. After the chosen time period, this song is faded out and a new song fades in.

At any time, if the user decides to continue listening to the entire current song, a button provides this option. My DJ can be used in this manner to scan through a device's songs audibly, much like one would scan through the stations of a radio then stop to listen to a song. Users can also pause/play, skip to the next song, go back to the previous song, and adjust the volume at any time. My DJ displays the current song's title, artist's name, album artwork, and a progress bar indicating when the song will change.

In the My DJ Version 2.0 update, many new features and improvements were added. The user interface in My DJ Version 2.0 is completely new and much more appealing. The user can select what songs, playlists, genres, albums, or artists for the app to play through, rather than playing from all of the device's songs.

My DJ Version 2.0 also has settings inside the app for convenience, so the user can change settings on the fly while listening to music, without ever exiting the app. There are also some new settings in My DJ Version 2.0, such as a setting to automatically start playing music when the app loads and a setting to let the user shake the device to skip to the next song. There are also more options for the song play time: up to 3 minutes or the full song.

My DJ Version 2.0 also features some small new additions, such as a "Restart Song" button to start the currently playing song from its beginning. A free version of My DJ has also been released in the app store named My DJ Free. This version is very similar to the original My DJ app and does not contain the new features built in to My DJ Version 2.0.

Pricing and Availability:
My DJ 2.0 is on sale worldwide for $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available exclusively through the App Store. My DJ Free is available for free download worldwide, also exclusively through the App Store.
