Veescope Live Version 2.0 Released

DVDxDV has released Veescope Live 2.0 for Macintosh. Veescope Live is a special effects software package that runs on a MacIntosh computer and performs live chroma keying from a wide variety of video sources. Using no additional hardware, Veescope Live can transform any MacBook Pro Laptop into a live chroma keyer.

With production budgets being slashed, more television shows are shot in front of green or blue screens instead of the scene's real location. Veescope Live version 2.0 has essential tools for shooting these virtual locations. Veescope Live includes the high quality "Softlyght" chroma keyer and professional grade video scopes, such as a Waveform Monitor, Vectorscope, and RGB Parade. The scopes make it easy to properly light a green or blue screen while the chroma keyer allows the perspective and lighting to be matched to the virtual location. When a scene is shot using Veescope Live, the results can be indistiguishable from shooting at the real location.

Veescope Live 2.0 supports a wide range of cameras from consumer video to high quality digital cinema, such as the Red One, Arri Alexa, or Sony F35. HDV, DV, and DVC Pro HD camera can connect directly to Veescope Live using a firewire cable. Digital Cinema, AVCHD, and HD-SLR cameras can connect through HDMI, HD-SDI, or component video using any Quicktime supported capture card made by AJA, Blackmagic Design, or Matrox.
