Regular Rate and Rhythm Software has announced the release of MediMath 3.1, bringing its popular medical calculator to the Apple iPad. MediMath offers 135 formulas, evidence-based scores, and clinical guidelines for physicians, nurses, and healthcare students in all fields. The new version marks the first medical calculator in the iPad App Store to take full advantage of the iPad's features for easy navigation, faster input, and more immediate results.

As a portable medical calculator, MediMath lets clinicians determine indexes, critical values, and prognoses at the point of care. Included are calculators for BMI, creatinine clearance, Framingham score, IV dose calculators, the Light effusion criteria, NIH stroke scale, the PORT pneumonia score, a pregnancy gestational wheel, the TIMI myocardial infarction score, Well's DVT and PE criteria, and over 100 more. A full list is available on the MediMath website. Each calculator is supported by literature references and equation explanations, perfect for verification or learning.

Both US Customary and SI units can be input on the large MediMath keypad, with results shown instantly. Choices are presented on the iPad as pop-over windows for seamless, rapid entry.

MediMath's calculators are searchable by name, keyword, or category, in fields ranging from anesthesia to pulmonary and from cardiology to renal, and a customizable favorites list provides immediate access to a clinician's daily needs. MediMath is updated regularly with new calculators and scores by the developer's needs in his own practice and by user request.

Features at a glance:
* 135 clinically relevant calculators
* Fast input and instantaneous results
* Evidence-based information with literature references where appropriate
* Search by name or category
* Customizable Favorites list
* Universal app optimized for both iPhone/iPod touch and for iPad
