unmarked software has announced the immediate availability of TextSoap 6.4, its award winning, text processing tool that cleans up garbled email, web text, and more. TextSoap 6.4 improves on its batch file processing support. With an enhanced Clean Text Files Automator action, users can more easily leverage TextSoap's text cleaning to process large batches of text files.

Solving a common issue when processing large batches of files, two new enhancements make it easier to keep the original files as a fall back. Users can now specify the destination folder of processed files. Additionally, users can append or prepend specific text to each filename as it is processed. And it removes the need for an additional copy files step, boosting performance in the process.

Version 6.4 also includes an improved implementation of the cleaner that converts the Markdown format to HTML. The new implementation is significantly faster than previous releases. The new release also includes numerous improvements and bug fixes reported by customers including: improved automator integration within custom cleaners; some improvements with OS X Services; a new preference for the BBEdit plugin.
