Adobe Readying to Sue Apple?

Sources close to Adobe reveal that the company is preparing to sue Apple within a few weeks, according to ITWorld.

Usually I write about security here, but Apple's iron-bound determination to keep Adobe Flash out of any iWhatever device is about to blow up in Apple's face. Sources close to Adobe tell me that Adobe will be suing Apple within a few weeks.

It was bad enough when Apple said, in effect, that Adobe Flash wasn't good enough to be allowed on the iPad. But the final straw was when Apple changed its iPhone SDK (software development kit) license so that developers may not submit programs to Apple that use cross-platform compilers.

Other companies like Novell's MonoTouch group are "reaching out to Apple for clarification on their intention, and believe there is plenty of room for course-correction prior to the final release of the 4.0 SDK."

It's doubtful that Apple will alter the new SDK agreement; rather, its likely that they will leave the current wording so they can approve or deny cross-compiled apps at will.

Adobe may be good with Photoshops and Lightrooms but Flash, is really, like what Steve Jobs says, unstable, slow and tiring! Just a simple example, load a normal Facebook game powered by flash, it takes forever to load and sometimes even crash the browser! It maybe a revolution (used to be) but it's getting outdated now. Adobe needs to work harder and come out with a new revolution. Oh, and don't think that you can buy a revolution again like how you guys did with Macromedia. You have to create one to own one =)

Flash is simply going the way of the Dodo, HTML5 is the future of mobile computing platforms. There will always be obstacles that stand in the way and frustrate progress. However, Flash will definitely not be one of those obstacles.

Flash is not date... it will always exist where something can't be done using HTML and Java. As for the issue; Adobe have a strong case in my opinion... Apple are being anticompetitive and will fail in the same way Microsoft did with Windows and IE. Apple are abusing their dominant position to limit competition. If they believe HTML5 and other technologies are superior than thats fine but it is incorrect of them to force people to choose one method over something else; their method and not the other.

ROFL....fanboys rejoice, they keep saying that Flash is dead and Adobe should just put up with Mapple sh*t, well, just to give u all an idea of what will happen if this is true, Adobe will simply stop any of it's software to be ported to Mac, and simply all of the designers and ppl who uses Adobe stuff will have to move away of Mac, oh yeah, that Bootcamp thing, well that still Windows, so after all MS has a better platform and Windows probes to be better and if everything goes with that plan then Mac will have a huge drop, yup, Mapple can probe that some companies love to commit suicide for their own stupidity, I hope i'm wrong, i hope this is all vapor....
Its Apple's software and hardware they can decide what ever they want and whats compatible and whats not.
That statement is just so wrong. So MS Windows is Microsoft's software and they do whatever they want with it?? tell that all member nations of the European Economic Area as well as Croatia and Switzerland where Windows is distributed without IE 8 because of a reaction to an antitrust investigation by the EU into whether Microsoft is abusing its dominant position with Windows and Internet Explorer.

If it was up to me I'd uninstall IE8 on my PC but its not an option, thats why it is illegal to sell Windows there with IE preinstalled.
