Firmware Update Will Bring AirPlay Compatibility to Denon Receiver

Denon has announced that a firmware update will bring AirPlay compatibility to the AVR-4311Cl receiver.

Coming in the Fall of 2010 is a planned upgrade that provides Apple iTunes AirPlay compatibility that lets you stream your favorite music to the AVR-4311CI.

Denon is one of many companies that use BridgeCo technology. Others include Harmon-Kardon, Sony, Nokia, Phillips, and Pioneer.


BridgeCo helped develop AirPlay in a strategic partnership with Apple. It's unclear if other manufacturers are able to update their devices to bring AirPlay compatibility.
