Sintek Photronics has reportedly sent samples of projected capacitive touch panels to Apple for testing in the iMac, according to a DigiTimes report.

Sintek Photronics has a good chance of becoming Apple's supplier since not many companies have the capability of producing a panel 20-inch and above. Sintek is equipped with 5.3G production lines.

Projected capacitive touch panels are typically produced by placing touch sensors over the panel, and then a cover glass over the sensors.
