iPhone 4S vs. Galaxy Nexus: Video Recording [Video]

SAI took the iPhone 4S and the Galaxy Nexus to Union Square this morning to test both cameras out.

Check out their video recording comparison below. Which do you think is better?

I thought it was pretty clear that the iPhone outperformed the galaxy. The color and scanning is much better on the iPhone. I will say, they both looked good.

Both looks pretty crappy on my 30" monitor, stil the one from iPhone 4s is the best of the two.

Make sure to set 1080p HD if not it will look crappy. All in all, both cameras pretty similar and too close of a call.

I think both are the same; actually it was a video taken by one camera but put two names of devices on. That's so stupid!

Who cares its a phone not a camera.... All sides think theirs is best anyway.... Also for the record if there was never an IPhone well.... There would be no copier Samsung.... Face it Samsung fans it's a copy period...

Both good iphone better colors definition and frame rate. while playing i notice the frame rat and color are beter on the iphone while paused i notice that small things show up better on the iphone.

Virtually indistinguishable. Marginal difference at best. I would like to see a double blind test since I know a bunch of people on here will claim they can see the 4S is much better. Show us a few comparisons and don't tell us which is which with a blind poll. Let's see how close the results are.

I have a flash to html5 converter(since I prefer technology that uses 70% less CPU) and the names were lost in translation so I didn't know which was which and still thought 4S was way better. The panning frame rate randomness of the Galaxy was just painful to watch and the fact that it doesn't keep within rage makes the footage useless for editing.

The iphone 4s is smooth and clear and pans beautifully. The Galaxy is jerky and during the pan the video gets blury in spots. At :31 sec when the man with the backpack walks in the whole frame jumps. As well the audio from the galaxy sounds like its through a barrel or the shooter has their thumb over the mic. My conclusion is that the Galaxy looks like your shooting it with a cell phone. The Iphone 4s could have easily passed for a real production camera. Cheers!

...yeah...colors are super saturated on the 4S, contrast is so high things look over shaped and black feels like ur looking into a black whole so it's difficult to see markings on clothes and skin, the NG has less contrast, less saturation, wider capture angle, it looks real, as per sound is the opposite of what u say, NG sound feels coming from separate sectors of the screen while on the 4S everything feels coming in front of u....no wonder ppl these days watch movies like Twilight and feels good about it....
