Mophie, the maker of popular battery cases for the iPhone, has posted an infographic that examines the amount of data people use daily, as well as what they use it on.

Last year, mobile data traffic was nearly 12 times the size of the entire global Internet in 2000. with mobile data usage steadily on the rise, the smartphone has become a necessity for travelers who want to stay connected.

According the graphic, the average smartphone user consumes about 733MB of data per month; however, that can easily go over 4GB per month for heavy users.
