LaMetric is a Smart Ticker That Can Be Customized Using Your iPhone [Video]

LaMetric is a smart ticker launched via Kickstarter as the first standalone, customizable, hackable ticker that tracks key metrics and displays them in real-time.

This uniquely retro clock can be set up to tell you the events on your calendar for the day, the temperature or even to count down the days until your new baby is born. LaMetric eliminates the need to check multiple apps or news sites for the information you need. Instead, you receive everything at a glance, all in one place, in real-time.

LaMetric is customizable through its iPhone app that lets you combine icons, scrolling text, metrics and changes, goals, days, trends and sounds. It's compatible with IFTTT, to show you any information you want from the recipes you create on that platform. LaMetric can also be integrated with several home automation systems like SmartThings, WigWag or Ninja Blocks.
