iPhone Dev-Team Releases RedSn0w Jailbreak Tool for iPhone, iPod

The iPhone Dev-Team has released the RedSn0w jailbreak for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPod touches. RedSn0w does a jailbreak similar to QuickPwn for these devices.
redsn0w is an easy to use, multi-platform, multi-device jailbreaking and unlocking tool for the iPhone 2G (original iPhone), the iPhone 3G (but not the 3GS) and also the iPod touch (first and second generation). Currently it is available for Windows and Mac OS X (there are some issues using redsn0w with OS X PPC, please use an Intel Mac until we have this problem resolved).
REDSN0W PROVIDES SIMILAR FUNCTIONALITY TO QUICKPWN.

my son has a 3g iphone jailbroke today it said on itunes a new versaion firmware 3.0 is out so he uodated he now has 3.0 funny thing cydia is still on and his firmware is 3.0 i have checked it , and yes its has mms and voice notes so it def upgraded to 3.o
Ok updated to 3.0, jailbroke it and got my cycorder and winterboard back :P
Only two problems noticed,
boss preffs battery percentage does not work if i enable it it disables it soon as i exit the application and resets my home screen dunno whats up with that -maybe cause i restored it with keeping that enabled last time i dunno
When closing any applications that are not stock (mail, safari, ipod, phone), it does not zoom out to the homescreen. What I mean is when I close the application by hitting hom there is a 2 second delay and then the home screen just appears. Don't know if thats normal in 3.0 because it look like the app was force quit. Not sure
Too lazy to restore and jailbreak and reload apps and what not so I am gonna say with my phone the way it is. PS Dev-Team you people rock
Can anyone post a tutorial on how to fix \\\"this accessory is not made for iphone\\\" caused by spilling water on iphone?
I have previously fixed it with a patched \\\"iapd\\\" file appeared on other forums.
Now when FW 3.0 is out, many people would need the updated and patched file to fix the hardware problem.
I hope you guys can help

hi i unlocked my 3g yesterday using pwnage and its became jailbroken but I can't get it to recognise my chip... Now Dev-team releases RedSnOw, what is the difference between the to? Do I need to use this can someone explain why they have released this redsnow also ? thankyou
i downloaded 3.0 os from iclarified. and i am jailbreaking from resnow..... Will i have a problem as i didn't download the OS from itunes..... but i downloaded from iclarified.com and Ideas....
it should be ok, as it is the official restore OS 3.0, you cant download the actual .ipsw from apple, as in iTunes it will just download and install i believe.

ok..
1) the ipsw from, iclarified is fine, it'll be the same one
2) you can download just the ipsw from itunes without installing, when it detects it gives you 3 options, 'download and install', 'download only' and of course 'cancel'
3) no you don't need to use redsn0w, why would you if it's working perfectly =p. redsn0w basically does the same thing, unlocks jailbreaks n activates, its more important for pc users who dont have macs ^^
