AirPower to be Launched in Late March [Report]

A new report from DigiTimes claims that Apple's AirPower wireless charging mat will be launched in late March.

The release will likely provide a significant boost to Lite-On's revenue for 2Q19.

Lite-On Semiconductor, a maker of discrete and analog IC components, is expected to see its second-quarter revenues register a double-digit sequential growth as it will soon kick off volume shipments of GPP (glass passivated package) bridge rectifiers needed for Apple's wireless charger AirPower, according to industry sources.

Yesterday, an image of the AirPower wireless charging mat with an iPhone XS on it was discovered hidden in Apple's Australian webpage for its second generation AirPods. That follows a report on Wednesday from the WSJ that said Apple approved production of the charger earlier this year.
