Apple's new Powerbeats Pro wireless earphones are now available to order.

I gotta admit, they sound promising, but at $100 more than the already overpriced AirPods, I’m gonna pass. The Siri feature, while handy, doesn’t add much, as Siri hasn’t been updated in ages and I rarely use it. I’ve got a BUNCH of aging devices, so I’m prepared to buy a LOT of new devices this year, but it all depends on how stupid Apple is about pricing. If they’re as bad as last year, I’ll sit out updating for ANOTHER year. Meanwhile, continually refusing to admit that Cook screwed up, it already sounds as if Apple has already given up on the iPhone as their central money-maker, so I’m guessing there will be LESS reason to pay those prices than ever.
