TP-Link Cancels Plan to Add Apple HomeKit Support to Smart Plug Mini

TP-Link has announced that it's cancelled plans to add Apple HomeKit support to its Smart Plug Mini.

Due to changes in our roadmap, the Kasa Smart Plug Mini (HS105) smart plug will not offer support for Apple HomeKit. Despite the change in direction for this specific SKU, our team is committed to the development of innovative smart home solutions that will continue to delight our customers around the globe.

This is unfortunate news for customers that purchased the smart plug expecting eventual HomeKit support. TP-Link announced plans for HomeKit support at CES this past January.


An alternative is the Belkin Wemo Mini Smart Plug which already has HomeKit support.
