iPhone 11 Pro Drop Test [Video]

iPhone 11 Pro Drop Test [Video]

Posted September 20, 2019 at 8:51pm by iClarified
Tom's Guide has posted a drop test of the new iPhone 11 Pro.

Apple says the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max feature the toughest glass ever in a smartphone. Unfortunately, the new glass doesn't appear to make much of a real world difference.

Tom's Guide dropped the new iPhone from waist height and shoulder height. The results weren't good.

Except, every other drop test, conducted under much stricter guidelines (i.e. flat falls, to test the glass, rather than falling on the corners, which are guaranteed to damage the device) negate this entirely non-standardized “see what I can do” video. The glass seems to be clearly the strongest in the industry, but no modern smartphone will survive a classic ‘corner drop’ without suffering some damage (mostly by bending/twisting the device’s frame, rather than from direct component failures).

I don’t think anybody should do a drop test it’s “GLASS” unless it’s thick which would make no sense. So any phone every phone with glass most definitely will break when it hits something hard yeah people it will mostly break!!!! Let’s stop kicking this dead horse, companies make their phone sound amazing and they are but we literally take that as reality just enjoy the phone. It’s like yourself you’re not amazing but you’re never going to tell anybody that lol

It is glass after all. It should be durable but not unbreakable.
