Apple is Removing All Vaping Apps From the App Store Today

Apple is removing all 181 vaping-related apps from the App Store today, reports Axios.

The move comes as the CDC investigates a multistate outbreak of e-cigarette or vaping associated lung injury. Vitamin E acetate has been identified as a chemical of concern in THC-containing e-cigarettes.

Here's Apple statement to Axios:

"We take great care to curate the App Store as a trusted place for customers, particularly youth, to download apps. We’re constantly evaluating apps, and consulting the latest evidence, to determine risks to users’ health and well-being."

● "Recently, experts ranging from the CDC to the American Heart Association have attributed a variety of lung injuries and fatalities to e-cigarette and vaping products, going so far as to call the spread of these devices a public health crisis and a youth epidemic."

● "We agree, and we’ve updated our App Store Review Guidelines to reflect that apps encouraging or facilitating the use of these products are not permitted. As of today, these apps are no longer available to download."

Good job Apple. Those that don't like the move. It's time to make your own phones to go with your own apps. It's just business nothing personal.

Thanks for putting your nose where it doesn’t belong. Vaping got me to quit smoking. You have no reason to remove the Vaping apps than NYC told people how much soda they could drink. Vaping is also used with medical marijuana and CBD use. I guess people using Vaping products who use them to help with nausea...etc can thank you for taking the cheaper ways to use medical marijuana. As a long time Apple Customer, I’m more than disappointed with your recent decision to remove Vaping apps.

Now to target other first world problems in the realm of politics. Removing the confederate flag is easily understandable, but now we really have to pick the bones and roots of other problems: greed, gun violence (aside from wars of course), withheld aid/tax returns/report, and enduring violence against anyone that isn't straight/woman (referring to abortions)/white, and a hellota other stuff!
