New Mac Pro Gets 8TB SSD Upgrade Option for $2,600

Apple has added the ability to choose an 8TB SSD upgrade option when configuring the new 2019 Mac Pro.

Mac Pro can be configured with up to 8TB of fast NVMe-based SSD storage. SSD storage delivers significantly improved performance compared with a traditional hard drive — speed you will notice when you start up your Mac Pro, launch an application, open a big project, or tackle data-intensive tasks. SSD storage has no moving parts, so it operates silently. And Mac Pro storage is powered by the Apple T2 Security Chip and is always encrypted.

The new Mac Pro starts at $5999 and the 8TB SSD upgrade costs an additional $2,600. Check out the configurator at the link below and click here for some benchmarks.
