Samsung has unveiled its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold2 smartphone featuring bigger screens on both the inside and outside of the device.

Samsung continues to pioneer an entirely new category of mobile devices by introducing the next generation of foldables— Galaxy Z Fold2. After releasing two foldable devices and listening to user feedback on the most requested upgrades and new features, Samsung unveils the Galaxy Z Fold2 with meaningful innovations that offer users enhanced refinements and unique foldable user experiences. Galaxy Z Fold2 combines the portability and flexibility of a smartphone with the power and screen size of a tablet for ultimate productivity. Whether folded or unfolded, you can enjoy a luxury mobile experience with Galaxy Z Fold2’s premium design.

I must admit, though I’m official married to the Apple environment, this looks nice. It appears to have none of the obvious points of failure in the fold mechanism. Though how stable the design is, in the long run, is anyone’s guess.

Just another gimmick. They build what consumers think is cool not what consumers need. A folding phone like this will only run I to issues moving forward. I don’t see it being a big seller either.
