Help on upgrading to ios 5.0.1

Hi, I am on ios 4.3.3 and BB 05.13.04 . Need the unlock. I want to upgrade to ios 5.0.1 and have the blobs in cydia. Instructions on dev blog blog state - I should use /*only*/ custom ipsw and restore in itunes. My problem is I cannot edit the hosts file as I don't have admin rights (itunes gives 3194 error). I am using redsn0w. Can I do a direct restore via Extras - Even More - restore ? Thanks!
