I have an ipad on IOS 5.1.1 with the baseband 07.11.01. I am wanting to unlock it and its already jailbroken. Is there a way of doing this or downgrading the baseband to 06.15.00. Before you ask its locked to 3mobile, not unlocked.

my kid accidentally put my i pad 2 into recovery mode. i have pictures and such i don't want to lose, so i"m trying to find a way out to exit recovery mode that wont delete all my files. After hunting on Google i tried to use redsnow, but at start up it keeps asking to load an IPSW. i downloaded an IPSW file which i think is the correct one for my ipad 2 but when i try to load it up i get the massage "unable to recognize specified IPSW" then I tried tiny umbrella after i "hit exit recovery mode" the ipad will turn off and restart back into recovery mode tiny umbrellas log is 06/15/2013 13:15:57.675 Recovery Device connected: 06/15/2013 13:15:57.693 Caching shsh files... 06/15/2013 13:15:57.697 Found [0] shsh files to cache... 06/15/2013 13:15:57.701 Cached [0] shsh files 06/15/2013 13:15:57.705 You are using the current version of TinyUmbrella. 06/15/2013 13:15:57.710 Loaded History... 06/15/2013 13:16:01.930 Sending exit recovery request to 1624878067 06/15/2013 13:16:02.257 Recovery Device disconnected: null . I then tired putting the ipad into udf mode and hitting the fix recovery button, the log says wait for reboot but the ipad never reboots. i have little knowledge concerning programming and such and so am unsure how to or even if i could use more advanced jail breaking tool's to get the job done. if anyone has any ideas how i might go about doing this i would be extremely grateful to hear them, and even if you don't thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hey, This may well be covered here somewhere already but I think I need it explaining. I have an iPad 2 running a JB 5.1.1 and tiny umbrella (on Mac 10.7.5) says that my SHSH are saved as follows: 4.3.5, 5.0.1, 5.1.1, 6.0.1, 6.1.3. So I want to update to 6.1.2 use Evasion and then restore from my backup. TU runs fine and says the TSS is running, then I'm trying to connect my iPad to iTunes and ALT upgrade to a stock 6.1.2 for my device. I'm constantly getting the iPad going into restore and then iTunes says my "device isn't eligible for the requested build". Is this a hosts file problem? What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any tips.

I have been trying to downgrade my ipad 2 wifi and i have downloaded evasion, redsnow, and i of course have winrar. But when i download the firmware and do the steps of opening redsnow and going into extras and the even more tab i try to open the Pwnage folder and when i do it dosnt show the firmware. It just shows all the folders and stuff for it not the cube it shows in the tutorial. I am very confused here. Please help.

I installed Samba via Cydia, but when I try to configure it through the settings menu, I get the message "Error setting root password (invalid or empty password)". I've tried various passwords of different lengths with different combinations of letters/numbers/symbols or just letters, and so on but I always get the same message. If anyone can tell me what I might be doing wrong, I'd appreciate it.

I might need to restore my jb iPad2 which is now running 6.1.2. I jb using Evasion successfully and also saved my 6.1.2 blob. If I restore with iTunes, it will upgrade first to 6.1.3. Can I then downgrade back to 6.1.2 with my saved blob and then re-jb? Thanks,

I recently purchased an iPad 2 at 6.1.2. Fortunately, the previous owner saved the hashes for 4.3.5, 5.1.1, 6.1.2 et al. in between. Using the procedure in a tutorial elsewhere on this site, I was able to successfully downgrade from 6.1.2 to 5.1.1 using Redsn0w and then Jailbreak with Absinthe. So far so good. I would like to switch to T-Mobile but it appears that the iPad2 managed to get relocked to AT&T. Yes, I know that they are all supposed to be unlocked. When I put the T-Mobile sim in the device, it still indicates AT&T 12.0 as the carrier even after a reboot (T-Mobile guy said it sometimes gets relocked during a restore in iTunes). I called AT&T to get it re-unlocked and they said that they reissued the network unlock and that I should backup and "restore" my iPad. Option-clicking the "restore" pulldown in iTunes tells me that it will erase and reinstall 5.1.1. Since I'll be using a locally stored IPSW (from iClarified) and Apple isn't signing 5.1.1 anymore how will it know to unlock the iPad? Furthermore, it takes an hour or 2 (or 3) to reinstall the OS, sync, Jailbreak, add all the Cydia apps etc. so I don't want to do this capriciously. Is this correct? Will the IMEI unlock be restored if I go through this entire process again? I'm now completely confused!
