I'm trying to downgrade my iPod touch back to software v5. It currently has 6.0.1 I downloaded redsn0w and also the build: iPod4,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore.ipsw I finally figured out how to get into DFU mode but then it said there are no SHSH blobs, neither local nor remote. Please help!

I need help. I have an IPOD TOUCH 4G, that I jail-broke last year,I've had IOS 5 the entire time, waiting for IOS 6 to be jail-broken. Today, I stupidly tried to update to IOS6.1 over the air from the IPOD Touch. The icon came up to connect to iTunes. For the past few hours, I have been unable to do anything with the Ipod, including restore it. I'm getting all kinds of errors "ipod can not be restored" with all kinds of codes including 3194. I even downloaded the firmwares for IOS 5 and 6, tried to restore using them, to no avail. Please help!

So i resently recover my itouch from ios 6.0.1 to ios 5.1.1 and i cannot type anymore. Please help me!

Hi, I have a ipod touch 4 with firmware 6.0.1 I am trying to downgrade to 5.1.1 I have redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3 and both firmwares downloaded. I am following "How to Downgrade Your iPod Touch 4G From iOS 6.x to iOS 5.x (Windows)". After step 13, when it says "waiting for your device", my ipod touch have apple logo and a status bar. it stays there for about 10 seconds and then redsnow gives me error "Service wouldn't start". There is no error code. I have tried to add the following to my hosts file, but still same thing: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com One more thing, I just bought it, so I am not sure if 5.1.1 blobs are saved on Cydia, so I selected "use remote blobs for restore" and then it downloaded something and ramdisk etc without any errors. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Abdul

IMHO, there is a step missing in ALL jailbreak tutorials! How to backup the Cydia apps BEFORE jailbreaking and how to restore them AFTER it ? I'm tired of loosing everything all the time I have to do an upgrade ! TIA

I don't understand anything anymore. I have an iPod Touch 4g with an ios 6.0 I'm using redsn0w to downgrade it, but it doesnt make any sense: -I enter to Extras>Even more>Restore> and enter my already downloaded 5.1.1 ios, and it says I have to enter in Dfu mode -I enter in Dfu mode -loading -"error: It was found in dfu mode instead of restore mode" -what -I enter in restore mode -I cant, it has to be in Dfu mode -try entering in Pwned dfu mode -"wrong dfu mode" What the hell am I supposed to do?!
