The 64-bit chip itself isn't a gimmick, it's planning for the future, but announcing how much better it is than anything else is pure bull, since the iPhone/iPad are only a max 1 gb of memory. In other words, "I'm sorry I called it a gimmick, it's actually Apple that's acting like a schmuck."
