This is bullshit!! Something is not right here. When the phone is on the table in front of the mask you do not see the lock icon change to an unlocked padlock icon on the home screen. However when the phone is in front of his actual face, you see (briefly) the padlock icon change from locked to unlock. So to me this suggests something is not right!!

Thats pretty simple so you need to scan ones face with 3D-scanner. Mold perfect clay/plastic model of that, paint the certain areas and then unlock the phone... wow - how easy is that! Smells like view-magnet... i guess people who are concerned you only need to report the loss as soon as you notice that the 5.8" device is missing from you pocket. Much easier to notice than missing credit card.

I can't imagine law enforcement going to this extent to illegally obtain evidence or political hackers. Never

He did not shown that the mask is not registered. He entered the passcode after it’s not recognising.

I know what is going on. He first held the iPhone in front of the mask and Face ID didn’t recognize it and asked for pin. He inserted the pin and then he repeated the process few times until Face ID started learning and capturing mask as the owner. Finally, Face ID starts working after several tries. This is what happened I guess.
