Apple's New Product Launch Schedule? [Chart]

Apple's New Product Launch Schedule? [Chart]

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published what he believes to be Apple's new product launch schedule for this fall.

Our survey shows that Apple will take the wraps off quite a few new products in September and October. From a marketing and sales point of view, too many new products in a short period of time is not a positive thing. An interval of at least two weeks between different products is needed; otherwise the promotional campaign will lack a clear focus and shopping line management will become overly complicated, not good for a satisfactory shopping experience. The good news is that we think Apple is well aware of the situation and is doing what it can to keep each new product's launch as isolated an event as possible.

Kuo believes that Apple will first launch the 13" Retina MacBook Pro and a new 21.5" iMac. That will be followed by the iPhone 5 and new iPod touch. In early October the company will then launch the modified new iPad and a new iPod nano. Finally at the end of October the new iPad mini and new 27" iMac will be released.

Take a look at the chart below for the suggested timeline.

I wish people would stop reading these STUPID rumors. Because then they feel the need to waste even more of their incredibly precious time and respond to the rumors.

Telia: I agree. I think they'll update the iPhone, iPods, and hopefully come out with the iPad Mini. But anything more than that would be out of character and would put a strain on their marketing efforts.

Modified iPad I don't think so. Maybe a mini

This launch schedule is far too close. I find it hard to believe that Apple would release all these products before the xmas holiday season.
