Apple SVP Phil Schiller has reportedly said that the company won't be making a dock for the iPhone 5, according to an email exchange received by 9to5Mac.
----- Good morning,
I noticed that Apple didn't release a dock for the iPhone 5. I love docks and have bought 2 for each iPhone model. Should I stay tuned or is the Apple-made dock dead?
Great presentation, by the way. Can't wait for Friday! ----- Hi,
Thanks!
We do not plan on making a dock for the iPhone 5. Most people who use docks use them with speaker or clock systems.
Phil

Hey, Apple's smart. reports say they stand to make 2.1 Billion on adapters alone, i phone 4 was the last straw for me, they make a defective phone and get away with giving you a bumper to fix it

Because most people that use docks use them with speaker or clock systems, hmm I wonder why someone would want to do that? Oh ya that's right, because it's useful, especially those who like their devices to be kept off flat surfaces in case it's on vibrate and your asleep (vibrates off of flat surface, breaks, pays apple to replace)
