Analyst Peter Misek with Jefferies says there are iPhone 6 prototypes floating around, including one with a giant screen, reports Business Insider.
Several iPhone 6 prototypes appear to be floating around. The model with a 4.8" screen is the most interesting. It has a Retina+ IGZO screen, a new A7 quad-core processor variant, and a new form factor with no home button. Full gesture control is also possibly included.
The idea of Apple dropping the home button has been rumored in the past but hasn't materialized. Although, Apple has added gesture controls to the iPad.
Misek also predicted the iPhone 5S would be released in June 2013.

I was an I-Phone 1st Gen user and I hated it. I dropped apple and never looked back until the I-Phone 5. I have used HTC and Samsung and motorola, and I can tell you the iphone 5 is not bad at all. I have used all the apps that came with the phone and down loaded quite a few. I am very happy with the phone. I know people who hate it and only want the 4 and 4s. I think it soley depends on the person. Look, no piece of tech is perfect and it is a personal preference. I think the way some people sling their harsh criticism, is a bit excessive. Are there things that I do not like, yes, but that is just me. For the most part, I like the phone and think it is a great improvement over the 1st gen phone that I had. Well, please, if you do not have one and are looking, go to an apple store and test drive one and decide for yourself. Do not listen to the people that want to cry in their cherios.

To answer your fanboy "to all blah blah blah"
The iPhone 5 is made without thought that stretching the screen makes the fonts look smaller, the maps app is a total joke, the longer screen needs to be widened to the same scale as the iPhone 4S (a far better device). Just because people late complaining doesn't mean they hate apple they are just sorely disappointed in a poorly planned non upgrade from 4s to 5. Apple should be ashamed. If the 5 is your first phone an you've been drugged by the iPhones the beat blah blah then maybe you wouldn't notice that its a huge downgrade from earlier versions. So get off your high horse and take criticism for what it is "honest criticism".

Seems that apple is running out of ideas. Not a supporter of Samsung but it seems that apple is copying shit again.

the proportions on this prototype look like sh*t to be honest, the top panel looks too bulky, and removing the bottom panel whit the home button looses the symmetry that the iPhone 5 has. I would prefer a wider screen as well as longer on my iPhone and I guess it would be cool if the top panel would be removed if apple were to remove the home button and lower panel. it would be interesting to see if apple could seamlessly integrate a front camera and headset outlet without the top panel, maybe under the glass screen. so the front would look like a delicate, minimal frame

I do wish for a slightly larger screen though. Even bigger than the current 5. Perhaps they'll give us two sizes from which to choose as they did with the iPad mini. I think that's a great idea.

This is of course a bad rumor. Apple will not change something that has worked so well for them and it has been proven more stable than other os. We love the home button or we would have a samshit. Look what happened with maps when they tried changing it too quickly. I think apple is in the right track. They might come up with something new but keep what has proven to work well. No need for changes like others. Small needed great updates yes. Small baby steps updates great.

"giant screen" 4.8 is... giant?
no, the note 2 is "giant" with 5.5 inches. everyone's using 5 inch screens nowadays, apple comes along with something not even 5 inches and you consider it giant. to me, its almost smaller than average with today's standards.

Apple!!! You are loosing your fans with all your nonsense restrictions. Just release next updates with Jailbreak availability and that is all. Ouch, I see you will not make any negotiations. It will look like you have given up to the terrorists (Jailbreakers)

Umbrella strategy. Now all android phones cannot use massive, ugly, and 4.8" as an incentive to lure people away. Google should work on polishing the Android to make it on par with iOS; and Samsung should hire a bunch watch designers to make its products more like jewelry. Once those criteria are met, sell them cheaper to kill Apple. But for now with Samsung S3 at $699.00, Samsung has no chance. You see, just as in the PC dog-eat-dog world, the margins will be razor thin for there are so much competition. Microsoft, do you hear this? Sell your phone at 10% over cost and you will gain 25% market share in no time.
