Samsung Sues Apple Over Notification Center in South Korea
Samsung has sued Apple over its Notification Center in South Korea, according to a iNews24 report relayed by Brightwire.
Samsung Electronics has brought a lawsuit against Apple in a court in South Korea over its "Notification Center" patent infringement. Notification Center is a feature that shows all notifications, such as email, texts and weather, by touching and dragging down the top of an iPhone screen.
PatentlyApple believes that the delay in Samsung launching a lawsuit over Notification Center may have been due to notification patents filed by Google that were still pending. One of these patents entitled, "Priority inbox notifications and synchronization for mobile-messaging application" was granted last month.
Another Google patent entitled, "Notification of Mobile Device Events," is still pending.
