Auxo App Switcher Tweak Now Available in Cydia

Auxo App Switcher Tweak Now Available in Cydia

Posted December 24, 2012 at 7:15pm by
Auxo, the app switcher tweak which was a mere conceptweeks ago has finally been released in the Cydia Store.

The tweak features a fully revamped app switcher experience by showing card-like icons instead of simply showing the app's icon. The switcher also has updated music controls, as well as quick access to wifi, bluetooth, brightness and other settings.

Auxo is currently only supported on iOS 6 for iPhones. iOS 5 integration should be coming next week, while the iPad version is slated for early 2013. You can purchase Auxo for $1.99 in the Cydia Store.

Is jailbreaking still popular? Many people are switching to the iPhone 5. It would be great to see more focus on a jailbreak for the iPhone 5 so users can enjoy these tweaks.

Actually, many people have the iPhone 3 and 4. The iPhone 4 & 4s is used more than twice than the iPhone 5. Jailbreaking isn't about making money; it has always been free. Also, the person who made this most likely doesn't create the jailbreaks themselves.

Since this looks like it is running on iOS6 and is only from the Cydia store and Cydia requires a jailbreak, can I assume there REALLY is an untethered jailbreak (other the developer failbreak) somewhere that has not been released yet? Without either an iOS6 untethered jb for the iPhone 4, 4S and 5, or an iOS5 version, this is not much use although it looks very nice.

You could still develop your tweaks on a tethered jailbreak. I highly doubt it is an untethered when many developers are already updating their tweaks for iOS 6.

Stupid question, but important for me. Is it compatible with Zephyr?

It is interesting that it comes out for iOS 6 first, when an untethered jailbreak currently only exists for iOS 5. People with iPhone 5 can't jailbreak their phones yet.
