AL13, an iPhone bumper made from lightweight aerospace aluminum, is seeking funding on Kickstarter.
AL13 is a slim, lightweight bumper made from aerospace aluminum that offers protection without changing the look of your iPhone. We need your help to move it into production. We’ve perfected the design and made the moulds, but we need additional funding to bring it to market.
Features: AL13 works by raising your iPhone away from surfaces protecting the edges and absorbing the shock from bumps and knocks.
● AL13 raises the phone from surface contact. ● Rubber Lining acts as a shock absorber to minimize impact damage to your phone and also protects your iPhone when your installing AL13 ● High impact, anti-scratch, anti-fingerprint and anti-glare polyurethane screen protector keeps your screen in pristine condition. ● Simple Slide Cover – no screws and tools, It simply glides on and locks into place
The bumper is available in black, red, silver and a limited edition Kickstarter green. An early pledge of $45 can get you a bumper. The project has raised $3,118 of its $20,000 goal with 47 days to go.

@Davy Manzana that's not a fair comparison. The quality of those other bumpers is poor and the biggest issue they have is they KILL your signal! Plus half of them don't look as good.
Besides eBay isn't a retail store. That's like going to a yard sale and saying you got an LV bag for $20.

Have you done enough research on the effect of using aluminum on the iPhone 4s'? Not to rain on your idea, but there are a number of aluminum bumpers being dumped due to the negative impact on the phone's reception, "antenna gate" Do a search on Amazon on "iPhone 4 Aluminum Bumper" and look at the original prices, selling prices and the negative reviews.
I've been tempted numerous times to buy them, they are beautiful.
The iPhone 5 has a different antenna design so I don't know if it will fail on that device.

Good chance it will interfere with the antennas and reduce reception.

I would be more inclined to believe that there was some actual engineering and testing that went into this if he had not called it aluminium. It's aluminum on this side of the pond.

Geez,$45?That's damn overpriced.Should've cost $15 for that one,and It looks like any normal bumpers except it IS aluminium.I would buy the cleave's bumpers instead.

Great idea. But way too much. I would by the bumper if it was about $10 cheaper. But everything else is an amazing idea.

It's not bad but it's too much $. Spigen/ SGP I think makes the best bumpers and cases out their. The colors, styles and quality of their cases are awesome.

Not worth it
Get the zero 5 case
From CAZE. It's awesome thinnest out
Don't offer much protection really but it's super thin

Nothing new here, I had a bumper case before I even bought the phone, it cost me 5 bucks and other iPhone 5 owners always ask where I got it, so sorry but $45 its waaayyyyyyy to much for a bumber case, besides its metal and will mess up with the signal

Anything metal on the borders (where the actual antenna of the iPhone is) will attenuate the signal.

Got my bumper for only 2 dollars. And works really well. It's a rip off.

It makes iPhone 5 thicker and thus it's ugly.

They already made cases better than this available now, and less expensive. C'mon $45? No thanks. Here's one for $12.99 and free shipping. And check out the comments on past orders. Good reviews.
