Lumify Movie Studio, a video editing app for the iPhone, received a major update today.

Lumify Movie Studio is a powerful yet ridiculously easy to use video editor. Whether you are new to video or have been at it for a while, Lumify is your one stop shop for turning your iPhone video clips into cinematic works of art.

Features:
● Records videos in 1080p HD with video stabilization (iOS 6, iPhone 4S and newer), just like the standard camera app. You don’t lose any quality by shooting with Lumify.

● One single tap to set and lock focus, exposure and white balance during video recording.

● Trims your videos automatically to sync with the downbeats in the soundtrack, or trim the videos yourself.

● 15 beautiful video filters + 3 environment effects with live preview.

● Slow down or speed up playback for each scene independently. Play scenes backward in full 1080p HD with reversed audio!

● Multi-track audio mixer lets you record and overlay additional audio tracks to your movie, synchronized to the visuals. Set the volume of the soundtrack (if you have one) and the volume of each scene in the movie independently.

● Zoom/crop tool lets you zoom in on your videos or re-crop your portrait videos to standard landscape proportions (16:9 aspect ratio). “Pan and scan” to turn your static camera shots into exciting scenes that look like they were recorded from a moving camera.

● Super fast video editing engine lets you preview your effects and changes immediately with no “rendering” step.

What's New In This Version:
● One single tap to set and lock focus, exposure and white balance during video recording.

● Specify a preference for how long you’d like a scene to be (shorter, normal, longer), or manually trim the scene exactly as you like it (or use the scene in its entirety).

● 5 new beautiful video filters (15 total).

● Slow down or speed up playback for each scene independently. Play scenes backward in full 1080p HD with reversed audio!

● Multi-track audio mixer lets you record and overlay additional audio tracks (e.g. narration tracks or dub-overs) to your movie, synchronized to the visuals.

● Zoom/crop tool lets you zoom in on your videos or re-crop your portrait videos to standard landscape proportions (16:9 aspect ratio). “Pan and scan” to turn your static camera shots into exciting scenes that look like they were recorded from a moving camera.

● Online in-app help page that is frequently updated with tips and tricks.

Improvements:
● It is no longer required to add music to your movie. ;-)

● All new movie preview interface and faster video editing engine. Quickly switch back and forth between fine-tuning a specific scene and previewing the final edited video. Easily browse and jump to a specific scene within a movie.

● You can add the same video clip several times to the same movie, each with its own configuration (different trimmed segment, playback speed, zoom, etc.).

● Set the volume of the soundtrack and the volume of the original audio in each scene independently and precisely.

● Baffled by the strange video highlighting tool in the previous versions (the one where you draw on the video)? We now show you clearly what it does and why it’s awesome. :-)

● Create movies of any length. (OK this has been the case for a while, but we improved the user interface to make it even more obvious).

● Plays nice with AirPlay Mirroring - a great way to edit videos together with the entire family on the big screen.

You can download Lumify Movie Studio from the App Store for free.
