Apple has released a new iMac with a built-in VESA Mount adapter.

The iMac with Built-in VESA Mount Adapter is ready to pair with your favorite VESA-compatible wall mount, desk mount, or articulating arm (sold separately). This iMac doesn't include a stand, so a mount is required. If you don't already have a mount, you can purchase one when you configure your iMac.

The new iMac can be purchased at a $40 premium.

VESA wall mount
VESA wall mount - June 6, 2013 at 9:03am
This concept was launched originally in the year 1997 and it was called FPMMPMi or Flat Panel Monitor Physical Mounting Interface. Later, it was shortened to FDMI or Flat Display Mounting Interface. Screws are mostly included in VESA wall mounting hardware but they are also sold at hardware stores.

Is the highly speculated iTV (or whatever it will be called) a future version of the iMac? I would bet so. Implementing a TV receiver and making some nice agreements for good content and you are pretty close to what is expected. Not to mention the amazing advantage of being MUCH more than a simple media center. This wall mount tells me something... Who else is with me?

"pay more for less" - amazing! Just like every supercar - you don't have a/c, radio, power windows and you have to pay ie. $30k more then for the regular model.. :D
