SquareTrade Finds Samsung Galaxy S4 is More Breakable Than iPhone 5 [Infographic]

SquareTrade has completed its durability testing of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 declaring it more breakable than the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III.

Compared to the more durable iPhone 5, Samsung takes a step backward with the Galaxy S4. While the S4 proved slightly more water resistant than its predecessor the S3, Samsung's new Galaxy phone actually performed worse in most other categories.

The SquareTrade Breakability Score compares the breakability of today's top devices. Each device is reviewed and scored based on a number of factors from physical characteristics to the results of our SquareTrade Drop Test. The higher a device scores, the higher the risk of it breaking due to an accident - like sliding off a kitchen counter or having coffee spilled on it.

The iPhone 5 had the lowest chance of breaking with a score of 5. The Samsung Galaxy S3 scored 6.5 and the new Samsung Galaxy S4 scored 7 with the highest chance of breaking.

To be completely fair I always broke iPhone 3G and 3GS glass. But this iPhone 4S has been dropped many times and have yet to brake. We shall she how my iPhone 5s does for me but after seeing this I'm sure i won't be changing phones every 4 months :) so happy now

Is this supposed to surprise anyone? iPhone 5 is made of aluminum and stronger glass, s4 is cheap plastic and brittle glass. I run a repair shop and see many more Samsung devices shattered than all iOS devices, so not at all surprising.
