Mutator is a new accessory that offers a way to truly mute your iPhone. Unlike the silence switch on the side of your phone, Mutator prevents audio from videos, music, apps, Siri, and more.

The accessory was designed by Ron Adair, a filmmaker. It fits into your headphones jack and can be twisted to enable and disable its muting capabilities.

Mutator Silences:
● Video sound
● Music/songs
● App sounds
● Siri
● Text/message tones
● Mail alerts
● Calendar alerts
● Web audio
● Camera shutter sounds
** Mutator does not interfere with manually set alarms

The accessory is being funded on Kickstarter. An early bird bid can get you one Mutator for $13. So far, $3,807 has been pledged of the project's $24,000 goal with 28 days to go.

You know you could just turn it off. I head that mutes it; and an added bonus it will extend your battery life!

i remember my iPhone 4s have same this problem no volume bar no sound until plug earphone is work . lol now Reverse

Looks great, I love the idea of engaging/disengaging it with a twist. Obviously not for everyone though. I'd love a software solution but I don't think we'll be getting one any time soon.
