A new report from CTech claims that Apple has cut production of the iPhone 5c in half due to dismal sales.

We learned from insiders, because the actual dismal sales, Apple has begun to reduce capacity iPhone 5C after iPhone 5C average daily production was 300,000, now reduced to 150,000.

The higher than expected price for the iPhone 5c is being blamed for poor sales. According to the report, gray channel prices have already dropped significantly on the device while the price for the iPhone 5s remains relatively stable. The iPhone 5c price set by Apple is 4,488 yuan but it's being sold on the gray market for 3,500 yuan, says the report.

Notably, iPhone 5c prices in the U.S. have dropped as well. Walmart recently announced it would offer the 16GB iPhone 5c for $45 with a cellular contract. That's down from its $99 retail price.

Planned or not.... With Apple people so strong on the past designs... To make a move towards anything in the older phones or Android realm... Yeah probably a for sure flop even if they have the potential to look good.

If there is a flop, how come it's been the same after 6 whole years of iPhone now with awards, performance, and durability? If anything got to flop like head but in the ass, it's microsuck and crackberry!

FREE with contract. But who cares. I knew the 5c would be one epic FAIL!

Who gives a shit, still selling original 5 but you save more when buying 5c and buy a hard case, done!
iCrunch - October 12, 2013 at 3:32am
I do, you dumb prick. I would never buy a 5c when I've had a 5 all year long. 5s is where it's at. And I fu*king HATE cases.

I meant someone other than you iCrack! 5c is for people who can easily pay for iPhone and wait less! It may be plastic, but it's the most it can be for being cheap!
Dragan - October 11, 2013 at 11:39am
They better cut the price of 5c by one third or so...
Great. - October 11, 2013 at 2:49am
From the comments here it seems many don't understand Apple's strategy. The drop is 5c was already expected!
Crackberry - October 11, 2013 at 3:29am
From the likes of you, you seem too ignorant of apples strategy, why should you care?
Great. - October 11, 2013 at 6:07am
How am I ignorant when I anticipated this?

You're just assuming from some comments, he doesn't know what you mean because all you said was "from the comments here" why else would he say it!
Waitin On Gold iPhone5S - October 11, 2013 at 1:44am
LOL @Tim Cook...betting on the not-so-cheap cheap iPhone 5C and made tons of them instead of the iPhone 5S and nobody came. In the process infuriated iPhone afficionados by rewarding them as much as 3 weeks of delay to get their higher-than high end GOLD iPhone 5S. Bravo! Tim Cook, Bravo!

What about us, making something backwards like wannabe iPhone and iPad, we thought rt would fit because we made balmier leave, the rt stands for retard and the Nokia, we heard people loved phones and cameras, that's why we made both, a powerful 41mp camera that looks like one but is on a phone, we recommend 64 gb version since any photo takes up data but bigger memory is better but we all tried! Windows 8.1 will barely help us now, we can't give up now... Can we?
