Pegatron, the current manufacturer of the iPhone 5c and iPad Mini reportedly landed a contract to manufacturer half of Apple's iPhone 6 orders, according to a report from the Liberty Times.
Foxconn currently handles all iPhone 5s orders so it is interesting to hear Apple will include another supplier for its flagship phone. Back in 2013, Apple did shift iPhone 5c production to Pegatron to improve supply chain risk management, which ultimately allowed Apple to prevent any supply chain disasters.
We have heard rumors that Apple is planning to manufacturer two different-sized iPhones that would include a 4.7-inch and a 5.7-inch screen. Pegatron could manufacturer half of those orders, but at this point, nothing can be verified.
What realize, maybe they are smart than others because maybe they worry about what they put in their phones, other worry about screen size, and this 'copying' is invalid if they were to do it b/c others done it, just because it looks big doesn't mean they're the same, that's like saying flip phones are copied when they work different.
Bigger screen size on the current iphone except no edge to edge would be good, still one hand use for people who want a big screen. If Apple does this, Tim would still keep his promise and get people what they want, this is the one and only way to make a win-win for everyone.
