Apple is slowly rolling out an updated design for the Mac App store that matches the look of Yosemite.
Similar to the iTunes 12 store facelift, the Mac App store redesign brings thinner fonts, more white backgrounds, and flat icons. Currently, only some tabs have the newer design, including the updates and purchases tab.
We'll be updating this page as other tabs and views get updated, so stay tuned via Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.

Why bother? Yosemite looks terrible ! Why did they change it, looks really dull and flat.

Because screw the glare looks that interfere with design. But flat? How is that dull, it still has the effects and textures and same layout. If anything is what you mentioned, it's windoze.

Just a few CSS lines removed - innovative Apple !!! - Old is easier to read.

Because no one has time to read more lines than ever. True innovation. Got less to worry about. Besides maybe they will add an option to change text like you do on iOS devices.
