Re/code has posted their full interview with Apple VP Greg Joswiak during which he discussed why Apple doesn't do cheap products, Apple Pay, and more.
Joswiak also talked about the recent issues with iOS software bugs, noting that Apple moves quickly when issues do crop up. As for the specific issue with iOS 8.0.1, he noted that the problem with the software wasn’t actually the iOS update itself. The technology used to deliver the update introduced the error, which prevented some phones from making calls.

@ssamsung CEO can't make up their mind on how to fight back even in ads that always focused away from the problem. In fact they don't expand on acquiring real companies that try hard to accomplish things which is why apple acquired beats. @ssamsung has no one come to them anyway but the worshipper. Wouldn't give my hopes up yet on your gimmick though.

I wish they had better customer service. I drove an hour just to get to an Apple store. They told me I had to get an appointment that was three days later to get my Apple TV serviced (it broke by itself it has no picture and I tried everything from rebooting to restoring it). So they said my only option would be getting a replacement but it was only 30 Euros cheaper than a new one since it is out of warranty. So they keep my "broken" one, I have to shell out 80 Euros and drive another 300km to get it? Thank you apple....
