I too was confused on how to redeem the free version, make sure you are using an iphone or ipod. The offer will not appear in the Apple Store app if you are using an ipad.

open up the actual "Apple Store" app, scroll down and you'll see "get waterlogue for free". It will then open the App Store app and give you the option to redeem.

Guys, its not saying get it from the App Store. It says get it from the Apple Store App. Two different apps. I just confirmed that it does work. Free. Read closely.
