Apple just announced, during its live earnings conference call, that the Apple Watch will ship in April.
"Development for Apple Watch is right on schedule and we expect to begin shipping in April," said Tim Cook.
When the Apple Watch was originally announced, Apple had only specified 'Early 2015' as a released date. Previous reports indicated the Apple Watch would ship in March, but it looks like April will be the month.

I predict that v2 will be same size but with longer battery power, and v3 will be slimmer. I also predict that I will have a sandwich for lunch.

Guys! Word of advice, this is the first production of apple watches, likely not meet the expetations of users.
Suggest you to read the reviews of others prior to purchasing

There will be fans who will queue up to get their hands on the first 100 watches as collectors' items. I think Apple will specially mark these.
