Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge vs. Apple iPhone 6: Fingerprint Scanner Comparison [Video]

Check out this video comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge fingerprint scanner versus the iPhone 6's fingerprint scanner.

The video was taken by PhoneArena at MWC in Barcelona, Spain. Notably, Samsung has improved its sensor and it no longer requires swiping your finger over it. You can now press and hold similar to Touch ID on the iPhone.

We'd say that Sammy's finger scan is just as reliable as the one on Apple's flagship, as each unlock attempt was met with success. Now, as far as speed goes, the Galaxy S6 unlocks just a bit slower than the iPhone 6. We wouldn't say that the difference is dramatic, and it may be more to do with software and animations, than the hardware sensor being slow. In any case, we'd say that for normal usage, not comparison and nitpicking, the sensor is speedy enough so that the user wouldn't notice a difference.

Or better yet, home appliances like tv's, dishwashers, laundry-related things. That's what they are best at. They need to leave the mobile business out.

They copied the fingerprint scanner along with Apple pay which appears soon, they copied Siri in which was s voice but was never heard of in a while, they copied the idea of a touchscreen. The only thing iOS 7 copied from android was animated backgrounds. The multitasking they made before it was improved, and 8 only copied the keyboard extensions. Besides, tweaking is what made it possible to add backgrounds.

Faster fingerprint scanner means getting to what you want to do next faster, but android tries to add more features in which it's why it's open sourced so anyone can add what they want to it or just don't put that much effort to security enforcements.

Android is quite simple. Changing a ringtone is really easy. Making you own ringtones is a lot easier on Android than on iOS. The difference in using iOS versus Android is that iOS has all your apps on the homescreen and Android has a button to the app drawer. Not that difficult.

Those who have itunes on computer are lucky to get ringtones moved to iphone like me, but for drawing, I do that on my iPad with apps.

I believe that for security reasons android slower than iphone Samsung smartphones have a faster response but for many reasons I don't why they put a delay time . If you are a developer . You can make the delay time to 0 . Then you will feel the real power . But your battery die faster ......

I'm just glad I have my Apple system and don't have to worry about the amateur attempts coming out of Samsung, but then, imitation is the greatest form of flattery so I guess we should be thankful to Samsung for that! Obviously when a new idea comes out of Apple in the form of a new system or product, the rabble always seize on it and try to emulate it. Apple is at the forefront of Design and opulence in computer design. Expensive? Yes! But then, knowing how Markets perform, Apple have to build a Financial Fence to ensure that meltdown's that originated in Iceland and other Financial Institutions such as the British Banking System don't impinge on their financial credulity. Clearly each of the four times the Galaxy S6 Edge performed faster than iPhone 6 with regards to the responsiveness of print scanner. However, I don't know why the tester from Phone Arena insisted on the first and last occasion that iPhone 6 was faster. Let me make clear that I am not a Samsung fan but one must give an honest opinion.

Atleast the Samsung improved with the scanner. The sliding down method was so stupid and useless. But hey we all know who's the better product.
