Watch the First Apple TV and Siri Remote Unboxing [Video]

Check out this unboxing video that shows off the new Apple TV and Siri Remote. The video was posted to YouTube by Andru Edwards.

Apple announced the brand new Apple TV with Siri Remote at its latest event on September 9. I was able to get my hands on a unit that day, and bring you the first unboxing of the new 2015 model Apple TV. As you can see, the Siri Remote control is made of metal and looks nice up close. The hardware buttons will make it less frustrating to use for sure. The Apple TV device itself looks similar to the previous 2012 and 2013 models, just a little bit thicker.

Take a look at the video below or click here for more details on the device.

I wish they changed the design. That was the only downfall of this new Apple TV.

They did. It has newer ports, stuff to support it, and it's re-engineered on the inside, heck it's even taller.

The only design change was adding USB-C port in back instead of a micro-USB. Making it taller isn't a significant design change.

The significant change in the sign was in the remote.

Dont forget the Lightning dock with everything else in it that functions with the a8 chip and everything with the new remote and ports in some areas.

WTF? Why can't you charge the remote off of the ATV? That's a massive over site from Apple. Yes we all have PC's or Macs to charge it but they should have made the ATV capable of charging it

You want a lightning cable hanging from your Apple TV in an open TV console all the time? Or you want to fumble each time you want to insert the lightning connector to Apple TV. I use a close TV console with tinted glass covers. I rarely see my Apple TV. I just see a faint light telling me that the Apple TV is on. I would be pissed if I have to open my console each time I have to charge the remote.

Better than trying to replace batteries on old Apple TV. Luckily I own portable chargers to charge my remote without wall outlets. That really can help.

I read there was to be a sync cable sold separately . The idea was in case you wanted to play games without chewing up the battery and give you a faster response time

Get the new dock for iPhones. Works with the remote as well.
