Despite a November release, the iPad Pro may be in short supply at launch, according to a DigiTimes report.
The site expects shipments to be under 3 million units in the fourth quarter.
iPad Pro's IGZO panel is currently supplied by Sharp only and LG Display will only be able to supply a small volume starting November, while supply from Samsung will begin in 2016. As a result, Apple is only able to start shipping the iPad Pro in November and its shipments will be between 2.5-3 million units in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to Digitimes Research.
The new iPad Pro features a large 12.9-inch display with 5.6 million pixels that delivers greater contrast, more uniform brightness and improved energy efficiency through photo alignment technology, oxide TFT and variable refresh rate. More details on the iPad Pro can be found here.

With all that extra space does it have a better battery? I hope so. It needs to last throughout a good 8-10 hour plane flight at least. Enough for two 2 hour movies and some good FaceTime with loved ones before reaching the hotel. Otherwise, no thank you. I'll stick tommy air 2

We will see later today. I find that very hard to believe that an os alone can greatly improve the battery. Remember we need a huge improvement. I hope they don't tell us how much longer it will last based on the new smaller crappier battery either. I'm upset and disappointed by this. I've come to expect better things from apple.

Just as I thought though. Still not great. As a matter of fact it's draining even faster now. Still poor battery. So I updated to iOS9 and it's draining even faster. I can't even imagine what it would be like for the 6s. It will be disappointing. Still not enough to make me switch phones to anything else but it's frustrating.

You can wear Ampy so you can always have movement from your wrist from all the things you do to always keep your battery going even if it drains.

i agree. it's apple's typical marketing strategy. is apple really that incompetent? i don't think so. shortages creating demands in people's head. just like the iPhones selling out. umm apple can easily ramp up at the initial launch which of course will be one of the highest demands. if you don't have enough then just set the launch date later. but it really sounds better when iPhones are "sold out". i did order an iPhone but they really don't need to do this to compel me too. just get your logistics straight. come on Cook this was your job before CEO.

The iDevice Pro - September 15, 2015 at 4:11pm
Apple's strategy with this device is questionable. It seems like an oversized iPod touch and might not have a strong market. There are concerns that supply shortages are a tactic to drive sales, reflecting negatively on the current leadership.
