Apple Launches New Provider API Letting Developers Use a Single Certificate for Push Notifications

Apple has announced the launch of its new provider API letting developers use a single certificate for all of their push notifications.

At WWDC 2015 we announced a new HTTP/2 based provider API and simplified certificate management process for developers using the Apple Push Notification service. You can now take advantage of this new provider API and create a single SSL certificate for each of your iOS apps, allowing you to connect to both APNs environments.

Apple's new provider API brings HTTP/2, instant feedback, and simplified certificate handling. They've also doubled the push notification payload to 4KB.
