BloomCloud 360 has announced the launch of BoomStick, a small audio adapter that enhances the sound of any pair of headphones.
“While TV has made huge strides in terms of quality, from black and white to 4k, audio has been going backward. In fact, our research shows that only 4 percent of consumers believe they are achieving great audio experience with their headphones,” said George Appling, co-founder of BoomCloud 360. “Consumers shouldn’t have to settle for mediocre audio. With the BoomStick, you can make your free earphones outperform expensive headphones or you can take your expensive headphones to a whole new level of enveloping sound.”
BoomStick Features: ● High Frequency Contouring ● Psychoacoustic Bass Enhancement ● Panoramic Spacial Enhancement ● Switchable BOOM Modes ● Small, Light, Ultra-Portable ● Enhances any pair of headphones ● Up to 14 hours battery life ● Available in Silver or Black
“Traditional audio engineering ends with speakers and headphones. What most people don’t realize is that our brain is part of the system,” said Alan Kraemer, CTO of BoomCloud 360. “With the BoomStick, we unlocked the power of the ear/brain system in order to present music and cinema content in an entirely new and much more emotionally impactful way.”
Pricing, Availability and Compatibility Customers can pre-order the BoomStick today from BoomCloud360.com. The BoomStick will be available for $99 US MSRP and online through select retail stores starting in spring 2016. The BoomStick comes in black and silver, and is compatible with any pair of headphones or earphones with a standard 3.5 mm connection.

Nothing will beat a quality headphone amp/dac. I use a Fiio e17k personally and couldn't be happier. I use the iPad lightning to USB adapter and plug the dac to my iPhone via usb. Talk about a huge difference in sound quality.

Why not just apply the $99 to a decent set of headphones instead of buying crap like beats?

My apple EarPods are as perfect as they sound. I see no reason to use this.

I understand you might be happy with your earpods, but it's like saying your 720p LCD TV is as good as it gets.

EarPods is more like an HD tv. Regular $5 earphones is what 720 is. Not that there's a way to boost qualoty of it like broomstick can with headphones.

Well, then my TurtleBeach must be a 4D curved 8k TV.

Because they cost more to make. What's 4D anyway and why curved tv? What's the point of curve?

I completely agree ... Apple did a great job with EarPods .. For earbuds, even Bose can't beat them.. and for $20 they're the best value on the market ... and without applying any "powered" BoomStick, EarPods have incredible bass!!

The real challenge out there, is making the Bluetooth earbuds have deeper bass ... If there was a Bluetooth earbud set that sounded as good as EarPods, I'd gladly pay good money for them... Until then, I go wired..
