Amazon has released an update that lets you use Alexa to add events to Google Calendar using the Amazon Echo, the Echo Dot, the Amazon Tap, or the Fire TV.

Currently, Alexa supports Google Calendar accounts. After you link your calendar in the Alexa app, you can then ask Alexa to add new events or review upcoming events on your calendar. If someone else is in your Amazon Household, they can also link their calendar to Alexa.

To link your account to Alexa:
● Open the Alexa app.
● Open the left navigation panel.
● Select Settings > Calendar.
● Select Google Calendar.
● Select Link Google Calendar account.
● Sign in with your Google email address and password.

The Amazon Echo has received a lot of praise of late. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently said, "I'm excited right now about the Amazon Echo, oddly enough. I think it's the next big platform for the near future if I'm right."
