Apple today released iTunes 12.4 bringing small design changes aimed to simplify navigation within the app. As previously reported, iTunes 12.4 introduces a revamped media picker, dedicated back and forward buttons, and a focus on the sidebar for easier navigation. Menus are also easier to use and Apple has also made other minor UI tweaks throughout the app.
Now enjoy all your music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and more in a simpler design.
●Navigation. Now you can use Back and Forward buttons as you navigate between your Library, Apple Music, iTunes Store, and More. ●Media Picker. Easily switch between Music, Movies, TV shows, and more -- and Edit to choose just the items you want. ●Library and Playlists. Use Sidebar to view your library in new ways. Drag and drop songs to easily add them to Playlists. And Edit Sidebar to show only your favorite views. ●Menus. Menus in iTunes are now simpler and easier to use. Use the View menu to customize your library or try context menus to act on specific items.
No word on whether or not today's release includes safeguards that prevent the deletion of a user's music library.
Apple is rumored to be working on a larger revamp of iTunes and Apple Music, which set to launch later this year.

Why can't they just make it easy to put media on my phone without having to set it up to "sync" everything? I just want to put it on when i want it on and take it off when i am done. Why does that have to be so difficult?

I been so frustrated with iTunes. Putting music into my playlist so I can get it into my iPhone is like a nightmare for me. Besides having to move a song into my playlist, I then have to put it into my playlist and then have to find a folder I have made for make a new folder, and try to get the imported song into that folder. Sounds simple but it isn't. Doesn't work smoothly. Also iTunes is way too busy visually. And something goes on when I find a song then my playlist disappears or if i am in my playlist I have to go back to search to find my song and there is a way to find the song and see my playlist at the same time, but I can never remember what the secret is to do this. It is a mess and has been for a long time. I hope some major improvements are made to simplify the whole application.
