Samsung has reportedly signed a deal with Apple to provide OLED panels for next year's new iPhone, according to the The Bell via The Korea Herald.
The iPhone, tentatively dubbed the 'iPhone 9' is expected to come in two OLED models with 5.28-inch and 6.46-inch display sizes.
Samsung is already said to be providing 80 million OLED screens for this year's iPhone 8. Next year the company's shipments is projected to be much higher at around 180 million units.
“The two companies have recently signed a non-disclosure agreement on general conditions, including the screen size,” said an industry source. “Other details such as screen design and functions could be adjusted considering the phone is still under development.”
Samsung is reportedly planning to build OLED production facilities dedicated to the iPhone at its industrial complex in Asan, South Chungcheong Province.

Dude....This is Samsungs strategy. Find out what Apple is doing and push it out earlier than Apple so Samsung can gain the market before. Doing this makes the consumer either buy it now or buy it later from Apple. Smart people know that when Apple makes a product they make it good. It's just strategy. What you choose is which brand you like best...Which OS....not who puts what out first.

Almost every model they had since the iPhone 4 has had problems. They don't wait to make their products better they milk the market. iPhone 4 antenna gate, iPhone 5 battery and sleep/wake button issue, iPhone 5S Battery issue and blue screen bad logic board, iPhone 6 bend gate and the iPhone 6S battery issue.
